Family therapy in Beverly Hills
When something is wrong in a family, it rarely sits with one person. It shows up in who is not speaking, who is managing everyone, and what the whole house is tiptoeing around.
We work with families through illness, loss, divorce, and the ordinary conflict that stops feeling ordinary. Sessions can include everyone, or just the people ready to start.

Families come to therapy when
- Conflict at home has become the normal temperature
- One child’s struggle is affecting everyone else
- A serious diagnosis has reorganized the whole family
- Someone has died and each person is grieving differently
- A separation, a new partner, or two households are being worked out
- Parents and children are living by different cultural expectations
How we can help
Parenting sessions
Sometimes the most effective work happens with the parents, not the child. We help you understand what is driving your child’s behavior, reduce the daily power struggles, and respond with more confidence and less guilt.
Illness in the family
A diagnosis changes every role in a household: who caretakes, who is protected, who goes quiet. We help families talk honestly about what is happening and share the weight more evenly.
Grief and loss together
Families often grieve out of sync, and that mismatch can feel like distance or blame. We give everyone room to grieve differently in the same room.
Divorce, co-parenting, and blended families
Separation, two households, new partners, and stepsiblings all ask a family to rebuild how it works. Therapy helps you do that deliberately rather than by accident.
Neurodivergence in the family
When a child has ADHD or is autistic, the whole family adapts. We work on the practical friction and on the siblings and parents who are absorbing it without saying so.
Intergenerational and bicultural patterns
Some of what happens in a family started generations earlier, or in another country. We work with the expectations, silences, and loyalties that get passed down.
How family therapy works here
We start from the assumption that nobody in the room is the problem. Families settle into patterns, usually for good reasons at the time, and those patterns keep running long after they stop helping. Our job is to make the pattern visible so it can change.
Sessions might include the whole family, one parent and one child, the parents alone, or the siblings. We adjust as we learn where the work actually needs to happen, and we do not require everyone to be on board before we begin.
Our clinicians draw on family systems and relational work, attachment-based and psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems, and trauma-informed, culturally affirming care.

Common questions
Does everyone have to come?
No. We often start with whoever is willing, and that is usually enough to shift something. Family members who were reluctant frequently join later once therapy stops feeling like a trial.
Will you take sides?
No. Our job is the relationships between you, not a verdict about who is right. That said, we will be direct about patterns we see, including when a change needs to come from the parents.
What ages do you work with?
We see families with young children, school-age kids, teenagers, and adults. Sessions with younger children often include play and drawing, and teenagers usually get some individual time as well.
What if our teen refuses to participate?
Start without them. We can work with the parents on what is happening at home, and many teens agree to come once they see the family working on itself rather than on them.
Do you take insurance for family therapy?
We are in-network with Cigna and UnitedHealthcare, and your cost is the same with every clinician in our practice. Coverage for family sessions varies by plan, and we will help you check before your first session.
